What Is SiteFinder, And Why Should I Care?

There's something going on in the Internet this week that affects almost everybody in subtle, yet important ways, and that is extremely technical and difficult to explain. I'm going to try and explain it as best I can, and advise Synfibers clients what they can do about it if they so choose. In a nutshell, a company that controls part of how the Internet works-- the DNS database-- is fundamentally breaking part of how it works for their own benefit, and possibly to your detriment. I'll give some background on where this system came from, who used to run it, what this new "service" is, what the consequences of it are, and what you can do to protect yourself from it.
