Spam Filtering Available
Synfibers uses the SpamAssassin filtering software to "tag" messages that look like junk with a special header. This header can be used by email clients such as Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora to help you filter out junk messages from your inbox.
The header that will be displayed on messages that SpamAssassin identifies as junk will be:
X-Spam-Flag: YES
Mail clients that have rules or filters can be configured to examine this header, named X-Spam-Flag, test whether it contains the string "YES", and then move that message to another folder, or delete it entirely.
WARNING: It is NOT recommended to use such a filter to delete messages without reading them. SpamAssassin is rated at positively identifying over 90% of junk mail messages, and incorrectly identifying non-junk messages as junk less than 1% of the time, but it is not right 100% of the time. SpamAssassin is best used to move suspicious messages to a folder outside of your main inbox for you to examine later and delete manually.
More information is available at the SpamAssassin site.
